The detailed program and the abstracts are available at www.mscc-cemc.com. Two field trips complemented the program: the pre-conference field trip introduced the geology of the Rudabánya ore deposit, while in the frame of the post-conference field trip the Eastern-Slovakian ore deposits were visited. A pre-conference short course was organized on the EU requirements on characterization of mining wastes, which was held by Dr. Ingar Walder (Kjeoy Research and Education Centre, Norway) and Ferenc Mádai (University of Miskolc).
